RITMO RECORDS is celebrating its fifteenth calendar year in business and great things continue to happen! The Independent record label was founded March 3, 2003 in the state of Texas by veteran singer/songwriter Daniel Mendoza with only a shoestring budget and blind faith. Since that time, RITMO RECORDS has grown far beyond its original projections in 2003 and at a much faster rate. The label finished 2nd in the 2005 Tejano Magazine "Best Tejano Record Label Of The Year" vote. RITMO RECORDS has also had the privelege of having six bands nominated for Tejano Music Awards as well as two finalists for Grammy nominations! CEO Daniel Mendoza was also voted as the runner up as 2005 "Most Influential Person in Tejano Music" by Tejano Magazine, and former Senior Vice President Bob Olivo was voted as "Tejano Person of The Year" for 2009.



The super talented artist roster boasts of acts like MARK E. WALKER, ~MENDOZA~, FRESHSOUNZ, GRUPO INOLVIDABLE, ISAIAH URANGA and PILOTO.



Some of our former signed acts include Multi Tejano Music Awards Nominees GRUPO ALDACO,  2005 TTMA Awards nominee LOS JALAPEÑOS, (their first album was produced by Grammy Award recipient JOEL GUZMAN) also named “Best Tejano/Conjunto Band Of The Year-2005” by Tejano Magazine, PRESTIGIO from Dallas, Texas...winners of the 2006 Dallas "Battle Of The Bands", LAS FLORECITAS aka "THEE TWINZ" who were the 2005 Tejano Artist Showcase winners in Las Vegas, Nevada and named the 2005 New Mexico "Band Of The Year" as well as 2006 TTMA nominees, 2005 TTMA nominee MAS AMBICION and ORGULLO NORTEÑO, LOS CARNALES, KANDELA SHOW, RESCATE, D-RON, JUVE ALDACO, DAYLIGHT, LOS ESTRELLAS DE ORO, GRUPO CALOR, GYPSY LOPEZ, ECLIPSSE MUSICAL, WARDOGGS, BRIZ MAR and LOS PHARAONES.

Add to that the cross promotions that have strengthened our networking and new connections throughout the world with acts like rapper/actor NEXXIS, aka TANK JONES (movie credits include “THREE KINGS” with (GEORGE CLOONEY) and the sensational QUEEN of SALSOUL, CECILIA NOEL, who along with husband COLIN HAY (MEN AT WORK) are active worldwide on tours and collaborations, and many others.



The Ritmo Records team is led by the Executive Vice President, MARTHA SAMASONI, aka "FRESHSOUNZ". She is involved in so many aspects of the music industry and is an invaluable member of the Ritmo Team. She is located in the Wellington, New Zealand office.  Also in the A&R and Promotions Department is Vice President ANGEL URBANO, aka "POCO LOCO" from Houston, Texas, LAWRENCE SERRATO, Vice President of artist development in the Rock Division from Raymondville, Texas and NANO FUENTES, Vice President of A&R and Promotions from Michigan who runs our Detroit office, and JOSH "BABYBOY" RIVAS, Vice President of A&R and is located in Arizona City, Arizona.  Our current A&R Field Team members are LILY LOPEZ aka "GYPSY LOPEZ" from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, MICHAEL HENRY based in Arizona City, Arizona, and LILAH VELAZQUEZ from Chicago, Illinois. Heading our Arizona audio engineering section is AARON MILLER from AARON MILLER PRODUCTIONS from Casa Grande, Arizona. MARTHA MOREIRA is managing our Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico office. LIZETH MENDOZA is the President of the RITMO NATION, the label Fan Club and is assisted by DAISY MENDOZA as the Vice President. This group of people, along with our President and CEO, DANIEL MENDOZA, aka ~MENDOZA~ bring extensive experience and unique expertise to the table. Working together with a common vision, the staff of RITMO RECORDS has set out to revolutionize the relationship between Band and Record Label. We look at our artists and staff as being one big "FAMILIA" in pursuit of the same goal…….SUCCESS!



RITMO RECORDS also owns other industry related businesses that compliment our overall operation. We own a publishing company called SIERRA NOAH MUSIC (ASCAP), an internet radio station, RITMO RADIO NETWORK, GALAXY SOUNDS STUDIO in Houston County Texas (Managed by Danny Lamb) and our own weekly video program called THE RITMO NATION NEWZ. We also offer touring assistance, booking, management, artist development, distribution and so much more.

We try to keep the pricing of our services and contractual agreements fair both to the musician and the label. We are, afterall.......musicians ourselves and we do feel the pains of this industry!
